Walla Walla Trivia

  1. Walla Walla is known as “the town so cool they named it twice,” but the name is reportedly a Native American term (Sahaptin origination) that translates to “place of many waters.” The town boasts numerous springs and streams.  And many places to have a refreshing drink!
  2. William West Anderson (a.k.a. Adam West, a.k.a. Batman) was born in Walla Walla, September 19, 1928.  Army man, milk man, radio!  Family, handy man, truck driver, oh no.  Author and painter and aero plane flight.  Hollywood Star shine on, Bright Knight.  So many facets to the man!
  3. Tyra Juliette is lead singer for Adam West Blues, official song of the 2018 Adam West Day in Walla Walla.  Aside from her own spanning musical career from before her American Idol performance (Simon Cowell approved!), Tyra has backed numerous famous artists including Demi Lovato, Keith Urban, David Paich (TOTO), Jeff Lynne (ELO), Kid Rock, Jon Bon Jovi, and many more.
  4. Pete Petersen, an accomplished saxophonist who has played with the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd, has been seen around town on many occasions playing music gigs and rocking the hell out with Debra Arlyn (an award winning singer/songwriter, see other pages on this website).
